Evercade Doom Collection Announced: 8 Campaigns & Exclusive Modifiers
Blaze Entertainment has revealed the Evercade Doom Collection. Discover the new gameplay modifiers, 8 included campaigns, and the upcoming Evercade Nexus handheld.
Blaze Entertainment is delivering a massive win for physical game collecting and retro shooter fans. The company has officially announced the latest major cartridge for its highly acclaimed retro gaming ecosystem. The Evercade Doom Collection is set to be released on October 30, and it promises to be one of the most comprehensive physical releases the classic franchise has ever seen on a dedicated handheld.
Compatible with every Evercade console and the HyperMegaTech Super Pocket devices, this release is not just a simple emulation package. It brings fully native ports of the legendary first-person shooters, completely optimized for the hardware. Whether you are preserving gaming history on your shelf or looking for the ultimate portable demon-slaying experience, this cartridge is shaping up to be an essential purchase.
The Ultimate Retro Shooter Package: 8 Full Campaigns
What makes the Evercade Doom Collection truly special is the sheer volume of content packed into a single physical cartridge. Rather than just offering the base games, Blaze Entertainment has collaborated to include a massive suite of official expansions and highly celebrated community mega-wads.
The cartridge features new native ports of both Doom and Doom 2, which serve as the foundation for the package. However, players will also gain access to six additional popular map expansions, bringing the total up to eight separate, full-length campaigns. The complete list of included titles on the cartridge is:
- Doom (The groundbreaking original)
- Doom 2 (The legendary sequel)
- TNT: Evilution (Half of the Final Doom package)
- The Plutonia Experiment (Known for its punishing difficulty)
- Master Levels for Doom II (A collection of premium official maps)
- No Rest for the Living (Originally developed for the Xbox 360 release)
- SIGIL (John Romero’s unofficial fifth episode for the original game)
- SIGIL II (Romero’s brutal 2023 follow-up)
- Doom: Deathmatch Pack
For those who enjoy local competitive play, the inclusion of the Doom: Deathmatch Pack provides a curated collection of multiplayer maps designed specifically to test your skills against friends.

Exclusive Gameplay Modifiers and Violence Settings
Playing through classic campaigns is always a nostalgic trip, but Blaze Entertainment is introducing several exclusive gameplay modifiers to ensure this release feels fresh, even for veterans who know every secret wall.
These modifiers allow you to fundamentally change the rules of the game. If you want to increase the chaos, you can activate Turbo Monsters or Double Monsters to completely overwhelm the screen with threats. Other unique modifiers include Explosive Deaths, Revenge Barrels, and Vampire Mode, where dealing damage might be your only way to survive. For players who just want to explore the intricate level design without the stress of combat, a No Monsters toggle is also available.
Furthermore, new violence settings give players complete control over the on-screen carnage. You can manually increase the blood output or toggle specific modifiers like “Shotgun Close Encounter” and “Chainsaw Massacre” to heavily emphasize the visceral impact of your close-range arsenal.
Enter the Evercade Nexus: A Hardware Evolution
The Evercade Doom Collection is fully playable on all existing Evercade hardware, but it is also designed to shine on the company’s newest piece of tech. Releasing in October alongside the Doom cartridge, the Evercade Nexus is Blaze Entertainment’s most feature-heavy handheld to date.
The most significant upgrade for the Evercade Nexus is the inclusion of twin analogue sticks—a first for any Evercade device. This addition makes navigating 3D spaces and playing first-person shooters infinitely more comfortable. The Nexus also boasts a massive 5.89″ IPS display, offering a massive visual upgrade compared to the 4.3″ IPS screen found on the recent Evercade EXP-R.
Despite the hardware leap, the Evercade Nexus maintains total backward compatibility. It supports the more than 80 Evercade cartridges already released since the ecosystem launched in 2020, granting players immediate access to a physical library of over 700 retro games.
A Surprising Bonus: Native Banjo-Kazooie Ports
While the demons of Mars are taking the spotlight, Blaze Entertainment dropped another massive announcement for 3D platformer fans. The Evercade Nexus will launch with a brand-new, separate cartridge containing enhanced versions of Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie.
In a brilliant move for game preservation, this cartridge will feature native ports of each game rather than relying on standard N64 emulation. This ensures smoother performance, better resolution scaling, and a much more responsive control scheme utilizing the Nexus’s new twin analogue sticks. Blaze confirmed that this highly anticipated platforming cartridge will also be sold separately, ensuring all Evercade owners can add it to their physical collection.
Between the comprehensive Evercade Doom Collection, the hardware leap of the Nexus, and the native return of Banjo-Kazooie, October is shaping up to be a monumental month for classic gaming enthusiasts.
