Xbox Game Pass October 2026 Wave 1: All New Games Revealed

Xbox Game Pass October 2026 Wave 1 brings nine new games, including Battlefield 6, Echo Weaver, Neon Abyss 2, Valor Mortis and more.

Xbox Game Pass is heading into October 2026 with another strong lineup of new games. Following a busy September for Microsoft’s subscription service, the first wave of October additions has now been revealed, bringing nine new titles to Game Pass throughout the month.

The lineup covers a wide range of genres, from major multiplayer shooters to indie adventures, dungeon crawlers and strategy games. The biggest addition is undoubtedly Battlefield 6, which will join the service on October 13 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.

Microsoft will begin rolling out the October lineup on October 8, with additional games arriving throughout the following week. Several titles will be available across Xbox consoles, PC and cloud streaming, while some releases are limited to specific platforms or subscription tiers.

Xbox Game Pass October 2026 Wave 1 Games

The first wave of October additions consists of nine games. The release schedule begins on October 8 and continues through October 16.

Here is the complete list of games included in the first wave:

October 8

  • Echo Weaver — Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass — Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC
  • Forever Ago — Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass — Cloud, Console and PC
  • Neon Abyss 2 — Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, PC Game Pass — Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC

The first day of the rollout gives subscribers three different experiences to choose from. Echo Weaver arrives for Ultimate and PC Game Pass members with cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC support. Forever Ago expands the lineup with availability on cloud, console and PC, while Neon Abyss 2 is also included with Game Pass Premium.

October 13

  • Battlefield 6 — Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass — Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC
  • Deep Dish Dungeon — Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass — Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC
  • Valor Mortis — Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass — Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, Handheld and PC

October 13 is the biggest day of the first wave, thanks largely to the arrival of Battlefield 6. The highly anticipated shooter will be available through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, with players able to access it through cloud gaming, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

The same day also brings Deep Dish Dungeon and Valor Mortis, giving subscribers two additional games alongside Microsoft’s major shooter release. Valor Mortis is particularly notable for its broader platform support, including handheld devices.

October 15

  • Bluey’s Happy Snaps — Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass — Cloud, Console, Handheld and PC
  • Chained Beasts — Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass — Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC

Two more games will arrive on October 15. Bluey’s Happy Snaps will be available across cloud, console, handheld and PC, while Chained Beasts will launch for cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC players.

October 16

  • Beyond These Stars — Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass — PC

The first wave concludes on October 16 with Beyond These Stars, which will be available on PC through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

Battlefield 6 Is the Biggest October Addition

Among all of the games announced for the first wave, Battlefield 6 is easily the headline release. Its arrival on October 13 gives Game Pass subscribers access to one of the month’s most significant new additions without requiring a separate purchase, provided they have an eligible subscription.

The game will be playable through Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud gaming. This also makes it one of the most accessible major releases in the October lineup, particularly for subscribers who prefer switching between different platforms.

The rest of the wave is considerably more varied. Rather than filling the entire schedule with large AAA releases, Microsoft is mixing Battlefield 6 with smaller and more experimental games. Titles such as Echo Weaver, Forever Ago, Deep Dish Dungeon and Valor Mortis give subscribers more options beyond the month’s biggest blockbuster.

That variety is one of the defining features of Game Pass, and the October lineup continues that approach. Players interested in different genres can find something new throughout the first half of the month instead of having to wait for one major release.

Nine Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass

While Microsoft is adding nine new games during the first wave, subscribers should also be aware of titles leaving the service.

A total of nine games are scheduled to leave Xbox Game Pass on October 15. The games being removed are:

  • A Plague Tale: Requiem
  • Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
  • Crime Scene Cleaner
  • Donut County
  • Evil West
  • Nova Roma
  • Pacific Drive
  • Superball
  • The Casting of Frank Stone

This means October 15 will be an important date for Game Pass subscribers. Players who have been putting off any of these games will need to finish them before they leave the service or purchase them separately afterward.

The simultaneous arrival of Bluey’s Happy Snaps and Chained Beasts on October 15 also highlights the constant rotation of the Game Pass catalog. As new games enter the library, other titles eventually make room for them.

More Xbox Game Pass Games Could Be Announced Soon

The October 2026 lineup does not end with this first wave. Microsoft is expected to announce another group of Game Pass additions for the second half of the month.

For now, the first wave already provides a substantial selection, with Battlefield 6 serving as the major attraction and several smaller releases filling out the schedule. The staggered release dates also mean subscribers have multiple games to check out between October 8 and October 16.

For anyone subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass, the most notable date is October 13, when Battlefield 6, Deep Dish Dungeon and Valor Mortis all arrive. Meanwhile, subscribers interested in games leaving the service should prioritize the nine departing titles before October 15.

With another wave still to come, October could turn out to be another particularly busy month for Xbox Game Pass. Microsoft has already established a solid start to the month, and the second half of October should reveal whether the service can maintain the momentum with even more additions.
